Invitation to the farewell event of Professor Jeroen van Merriënboer

Symposium: ‘Research on Learning in Simulated and Real Environments’

You are kindly invited to attend the farewell symposium of Jeroen van Merriënboer.
The symposium will be held on March 30, 2023 from 12.00 – 15.00 in EDLAB in Maastricht. Three of Jeroen’s former PhD students will contribute with a lecture:
Tamara van Gog, Mary Dankbaar, and Adam Szulewski. The symposium will be moderated by Anique de Bruin.

Farewell lecture: ‘Learning in Simulated and Real Environments’

After the symposium, Jeroen will give his farewell lecture at 16.00 in the Aula of the Minderbroedersberg in Maastricht, which is at walking distance from EDLAB. There will be a reception after the farewell lecture.

Registration

If you want to attend the symposium at 12.00 you can register here before February 15, 2023.

The number of participants is limited. Lots will be drawn if there are more applicants than available places. You will then be informed if you did or did not draw a place by lot before March 1.
Registration for the farewell lecture at 16.00 is only needed for professors who want to take place in the cortège. They can send an email to the PhD office.

Hybrid

You can attend the symposium only in person. The farewell lecture at 16:00 will also be
livestreamed.

Jeroen does not want gifts. As a possible alternative,
he kindly asks you to donate to the KWF.
