New names for the ICO Spring Schools

Starting in 2025, the ICO National and International Spring Schools will have a new name. As ICO is an international collaborative network with both Dutch and Belgian members, the terms ‘national’ and ‘international’ have not been fitting for some time.

The “International Spring School” will now be called the ICO Open Graduate Spring School. This new name still reflects the open nature of the event and aligns more closely with the level of the ICO schools. At the ICO OGSS in 2025, we hope to welcome PhD candidates not only from the Netherlands and Belgium, but from other European countries as well, like usual.

In 2026, we will host a closed Spring School exclusively for ICO members: the ICO Graduate Spring School.
