Invitation for Physics Education PhD Students and Researchers to Join the GIREP Summer School

Dear PhD-student,

Are you interested in

• Joining a PER-specific venue focused on PhD students’ work-in-progress?
• Participating in a workgroup where PhD students present their work-in-progress and receive high-quality feedback from young and expert researchers?
• Benefiting from opportunities for networking and developing a community?

Please join the 2025 GIREP SUMMER SCHOOL on June 28-29, just before the GIREP 2025 Conference, Leiden, Netherlands (organized by Leiden Institute of Physics and the Graduate School of Teaching/ ICLON).

PhD students: Please upload your application at the Call for Abstracts before February 16, 2025.

If you have submitted a GIREP Conference paper, please note that abstracts for the Conference can be adapted easily for submission to the Summer School, with additions describing:

• Current stage of the work (e.g., developing intervention / data collection tools / analysis scheme, etc.)
• 2-3 dilemmas concerning your work that you would like to discuss with the Summer School participants

Researchers (including supervisors of attending PhD students): Please apply at https://www.girep.org/application-non-phd-student/

Please note that no additional abstract is needed.

Supervisors of PhD students who will attend the Summer School are encouraged to participate.
