Vacancy: PhD to join as theme group coordinator for the theme ICT & Education (theme 2)

The research of ICO’s members has been grouped into “themes”. These thematic groups can be regarded as Special Interest Groups. The thematic groups are responsible for the organization of ICO’s thematic courses and also contribute to the ICO Open Graduate Spring Schools, and sometimes theme group related events together with the VOR. Each group is coordinated by two or three more experienced researchers and one PhD student: the theme group coordinators.

At the moment, ICO Theme group 2 is looking for a PhD to join the coordinators Omid Noroozi, Pantelis Papadopoulos and Reza Farrokhnia. As PhD-coordinator you will support the Theme group coordinators in the preparation of the courses with practical matters, as well as representing ‘the voice’ of the PhDs; you as a PhD can give them new insights in what is relevant for you and your peers, and you can provide new knowledge into the wishes that exist regarding ICO education for this theme.

If you want to join Omid, Pantelis and Reza as coordinator for Theme group 2, please let us know by sending a short motivation before November 1st to ICO@uu.nl. In case there are more applicants, a short interview might be organised to make a discission.
