We are delighted to invite all ICO members to save the date for ICO’s 14th networking event: the ICO Graduate Spring School, taking place on 16 and 17 April 2026 at Utrecht University.
The ICO Graduate Spring School is a biennial, two-day networking event open to all members of our community. It offers an inspiring environment to connect, share ideas, and learn from each other’s research. Throughout the event, PhD candidates will present their ongoing projects, while Fellows, Associate Fellows, and Senior Fellows are invited to engage as chairs, discussants, or participants.
In addition to the presentations, the programme will include workshops and other sessions, designed to foster collaboration, exchange insights, and strengthen connections across the ICO network.
The central focus of the Spring School will be the presentations by ICO PhD candidates. This is a valuable opportunity for candidates to practise presenting their work in a supportive and constructive environment. To ensure accessibility for all PhD members, all submitted papers will be automatically accepted upon registration.
We warmly invite ICO Fellows to contribute to the event by serving as chairs or discussants during the presentation sessions. Active participation from our senior members is essential to making the Spring School a truly enriching experience for everyone. And it’s an excellent way to play your active part to our PhD community and to engage in stimulating discussions within our field.
Further details will be announced on the ICO Graduate Spring School 2026 website in November 2025. Registration will open in December 2025.
We look forward to seeing you all in Utrecht for two days of learning, networking, and inspiration!
